Rainy day in Ixtapa

Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo is a world-class destination, especially for those who want to enjoy an excellent vacation by the sea. It has numerous white sandy beaches and warm waters where you can sunbathe, enjoy various activities or simply rest and relax without any concern. Zihuatanejo is the fourth-largest city in the state of Guerrero, Mexico. Politically it belongs to the municipality of Zihuatanejo de Azueta in the western part of Guerrero, on the Pacific Coast, about 240 km (approximately 145 miles) northwest of Acapulco. The modern tourist resort of Ixtapa is 5 km away. Zihuatanejo is located on the Mexico’s Pacific coast in the southern state of Guerrero and is well known for its beautiful, white sandy beaches, most notably, Playa La Ropa. The name Zihuatanejo comes from Nahuatl language and means “Place of Women.”

Ixtapa Beach

During my winter vacation in Ixtapa it rained one day for a few hours. Very unlikely to happen that time of the year but it did. I grabbed my camcorder and shoot a short video to share it with my friends and family. The ocean looked like a giant pool. It was very nice.

By the way, if you ever want to go to this beautiful place in Mexico I recommend you to stay at Owen’s at Bay View Grand Ixtapa.
