Recently, I had the opportunity to take a business trip to the beautiful city of Morelia, Michoacán in Mexico. I was born and raised in Morelia so it’s always a pleasure to go down there. I have tons of family and friends in town.
One of the reasons why I had to go to Morelia in May was to get my Master’s in Marketing diploma from one of the best private universities in Latin America, Tecnológico de Monterrey. I was strongly influenced by the education I received there. Tec de Monterrey nurtured my entrepreneurial spirit and taught me lot’s of valuable principals that I applied on a daily basis in my personal and professional life.
Entrepreneurship, solidarity and ethics are some of the values that every graduate from Tec de Monterrey carries with pride. I always try to apply those three important values in my life. The same set of values that were taught by my parents at a very early stage in life. Values that helped to build and shape my character.
I value and respect my family a lot. If you ever want to understand some of the things I do, you are always going to have to take a look at my past. I grew up surrounded by family and friends who care about me, relatives with a strong entrepreneurial spirit who always took time to share their experiences with me. I was deeply influenced by my Mother’s dad. My grandfather owned a coffee plantation and a movie theater at the age of 19 years old. I had an uncle who went bankrupt three times before he became a very successful business owner. Just to mention a few. I know life is difficult and full of challenges, but when you have people around you that truly loves you nothing is impossible. You just have to dream big and move forward. Great things in life demand discipline, hard work and dedication. Don’t expect things to happen on their own and over night, you have to work hard to get them.
I thank God for everything he has giving me so far. I have things in my life that money can’t buy. My family is the corner stone of my life and as long as I have them by my side the sky is the limit.
