Broader Impact

A business can change in a single conversation. Opportunity takes something that outlasts one.

So alongside the advisory work there is a second body of work — institutions, platforms and published thinking, built to keep working when I am not in the room.

Why build anything

There is a limit to what one calendar can hold.

Advisory work is bounded by hours. However good a conversation is, it happens once, with one owner, about one business — and when it ends, what remains is whatever that person carried out of the room.

A platform does not work that way. Neither does an institution, a published idea, or a tool. They can keep providing knowledge, tools and opportunities to people I may never meet, on days when I am nowhere near the work.

That is not scale for its own sake. It is the difference between the value I can create personally and the value the work can continue creating without me.

What exists

Six things built to work without me.

  1. Hispanic Chamber of E-CommerceFounded

An organisation for entrepreneurs and small-business owners.

Its work has focused on entrepreneurship, economic opportunity and digital competitiveness — because entrepreneurs need an environment in which they can succeed.

  2. Tu Futuro FinanzasHelped build

    A bilingual financial education platform.

Because better financial decisions can change the trajectory of a family, not only a balance sheet.

  3. Morning Profit PodcastHosted

A podcast for business owners, free to listen to.

Because most owners do their thinking early, before the day takes the decision away from them.

  4. InsightsPublished

A bilingual publication, with its editorial standards, methodology and corrections policy published alongside it.

Because an argument you can check is worth more than an argument you have to trust.

  5. Generational LegacyWritten

A book, published in English and Spanish.

Because the question of what outlasts a business is not a business question, and it deserved its own form.

  6. Aburto AIIn development

A growth advisor built to understand one business continuously, in either language.

Because the judgment in a good advisory conversation should not have to be rebuilt from scratch every time.

The same objective

Different forms. One objective.

None of these began as a strategy. Each one started where the advisory work ran out — a question that kept coming up, a thing that should have existed and did not.

What they have in common is the intent: help people make stronger decisions, put useful knowledge and tools within reach, and widen the set of people for whom a stronger business is a realistic thing to build.

That is the objective. Whether any of it compounds into something a family can carry forward is the longer question, and it is the one worth working on.

Access

Bilingual is not a translation layer here.

Insights is published in English and Spanish — every article, both languages, free to read. The podcast is free to listen to, and its home reads in both. Generational Legacy was published as an English edition and a Spanish edition, not an English book with a translation attached. Tu Futuro Finanzas was bilingual from the start. Aburto AI is being built to hold one business memory and present it in either language.

The pattern is deliberate. A person should not have to read a second language to get the better version of the idea.

Most of it was built because something was missing.

If you are working on something at that scale — an institution, a programme, a space that needs the small-business perspective in it — that is a conversation worth having.
