#ElCEOSolitario: Cabalgando Por Dejar Un Legado

Con esta primera publicación, comienzo a compartir las historias de #ElCEOSolitario, su servidor, Tayde Aburto.

Tengo que comenzar estas publicaciones semanales compartiendo un poco de mi historia, para darles el antecedente de como he llegado hasta donde estoy y para tratar de que entiendan hacia donde voy.

Nací y crecí en la bella ciudad de Morelia, Michoacán, México. Desde mi infancia, por lo que recuerdo y lo que me dicen mis padres, siempre fui muy social, emprendedor y comprometido por el bienestar de los que me rodeaban.

Mi mamá fue una exitosa emprendedora y mi papa un exitoso político. Como resultado de tal combinación, yo llegue al punto en el que estoy, me convertí en un “emprendedor social”.

En 2006, por cuestiones del destino, me toco migrar a San Diego, California. Cuando llegue a Estados Unidos mi idea era el de invertir parte de mi recursos en algún negocio, obtener experiencia en el mercado laboral y disfrutar mi vida personal al lado de mi esposa. Nunca imagine que una serie de situaciones me iban a llevar a formar una asociación empresarial. No conocía absolutamente a nadie en San Diego, no tenía la menor idea de cómo operaban las cámaras de comercio en Estados Unidos y tampoco tenía la menor idea de los retos que me iban a tocar pasar.

En 2008, el destino me llevó a incorporar en el estado de California la “Cámara Hispana de Comercio Electrónico”. Concepto que para muchos no tenía ningún sentido en aquel tiempo. Para mi era lo apropiado para hacer. Existía una brecha digital entre el mercado empresarial Hispano y el mercado general que tenía que ser erradicada. No solo porque era lo moralmente necesario, sino porque el futuro de decenas de familias dependían de eso.

8 años más tarde, no puedo decirles lo feliz que estoy de haber tenido el valor de comprometerme a ser un agente de cambio dentro del sector familiar en la comunidad empresarial Hispana. He tenido la oportunidad de ayudar a decenas de emprendedores, de conectar a gente en distintos niveles, de establecer relaciones de colaboración con líderes en el sector público y privado a nivel nacional, de influir a otras cámaras de comercio Hispanas a ser más proactivas y de contribuir al crecimiento y desarrollo de nuestra comunidad.

Históricamente el sector de empresas familiares ha sido ignorado. Pocos desean servirlo ya que no es “económicamente rentable” para muchas cámaras de comercio. La gran mayoría de cámaras de comercio se enfocan principalmente en servir a empresas medianas y grandes, ya que el retorno de inversión es a más corto plazo. Sin embargo, el grueso de la comunidad empresarial Hispana esta en el sector familiar. Para convertirnos en un motor generador de riqueza al nivel del mercado general, será indispensable que más organizaciones destinen recursos al sector familiar.

La Cámara Hispana de Comercio Electrónico hará todo lo posible por continuar impactando positivamente la comunidad de empresarios a la que servimos con tanta pasión.

El camino que nos ha tocado recorrer no ha sido fácil. Los retos siempre han estado presentes. Pero gracias a nuestra determinación, pasión y compromiso HISCEC sigue creciendo.

Parte de los éxitos y fracasos tienen mucho que ver con las decisiones que tomo. En esta serie de artículos de #ElCEOSolitario, como he decidido llamar este nuevo capitulo en mi vida, estaré compartiendo las experiencias por las que tengo que pasar y las enseñanzas que me deja la vida gracias a la interacción que tengo con distintos agentes de cambio semana a semana.

Pienso que mis historias conectarán con más de un “CEO Solitario”. Desde mi punto de vista el “CEO Solitario” es todo aquel emprendedor que es un “Todólogo” y que hasta el momento no tiene empleados. El emprendedor que le toca llevar las actividades diarias del negocio, generar nuevos prospectos, cerrar los tratos, ofrecer los productos/ servicios, llevar la promoción del negocio, dar seguimiento a ordenes, mantener el servicio al cliente, tomar las decisiones que ayuden a hacer crecer el negocio, etc.

Así fue como comencé con HISCEC, “Bootstrapping”, con muy pocos recursos y teniendo que hacer un poco de todo. En el trayecto he tenido la oportunidad de desarrollar una serie de habilidades que me han permitido llevar a HISCEC de 0 miembros a una de las asociaciones empresariales de mayor crecimiento en el sur de California. No hay ninguna razón para minimizar a una empresa/ organización por el simple hecho de que no tiene empleados. Gracias a los avances tecnológicos y lo comunicado que esta la comunidad de prestadores de servicios profesionales, es como se pueden lograr cosas que hace 25 años era muy difícil.

Gracias al uso del Internet como herramienta de negocio y la gran cantidad de horas que he invertido en mi desarrollo personal es como he logrado mantenerme relevante y competitivo en el mercado y a HISCEC como una de las asociaciones empresariales líderes en el mercado Hispano.

La pasión por lo que hago es con la idea de poder dejar un legado del cual mis hijos y seres queridos se sientan muy orgullosos. Los bienes materiales vienen y van, dejar un legado es que algo que vive por siempre.

Espero que parte de las experiencias que comparta, sean de valor para otros “CEO Solitarios” que hay en el mercado. También espero tener la oportunidad de conectar con varios de ustedes. Es siempre un honor el tener la oportunidad de aprender de gente positiva, emprendedora y con visión.

Last night, the EXATEC Tijuana–San Diego Association hosted its first post-COVID networking event—and it was long overdue!

A heartfelt thank you to the 100 EXATECs who registered and an extra special thanks to the 82 who showed up to make the evening unforgettable. Your presence and energy are what make this community so special.

The event was a true success thanks to the incredible hospitality of @casasur_hacienda in Chula Vista, the delicious catering by @decabeza_el_unico Tacos, and the unique cacao-tasting experience provided by @xocolatlhouse.
